Looks like this word has officially become part of our Singlish dictionary. It was practically glaring at me when I walked past it. And no, it's not funny. Not anymore.
I'm starting to feel really sorry for Ris Low. Singaporeans love to make a big fuss out of small things, just because it's funny. Please, I bet there're many people out there who speak even worse than her. If they're laughing at her, it just means they're laughing at themselves. Just because she caught the media's attention, she became the talk of the town. Does it do Singaporeans any good to keep emphasising that our English is bad? Imitating her on youtube, using her quotes for publicity, blah.
Sometimes I think people just have nothing better to do.
