There's only two words to describe what happened today: we flopped. yea, we flopped everything, even footdrill... hmm i heard tt other teams also had alotta room 4 improvement, but for us we're stil far from competition std la.. looks lik there'll be more intensive training from nw onwards le..
First was uniform inspection. there were so many stupid flies la! 2 flies were flying all over my legs, one on each leg. i was fidgeting lik siao la... but the flies juz wont get off my legs. xun n the others had flies on their legs 2.. but poor xun right behind her was a sir.. sometimes i juz wonder hw flies get attacted to still legs lol. i bathed today somemore lor. hhahaa.
Later we went to the waiting rooms.. together wif all the other teams. we didnt know we werent supposed to communicate wif the other teams, so we actually asked NC team some qn about hormats. tt was when we found out we werent supposed to talk to other teams lol.. oh n we prayed n prayed to god.. we were lik doin some ritual thingy lol... holding hands closing eyes and taking turns to pray out loud. soon we were told to report 4 home nursing case.
Home nursing was bad. we needed to do basic bedmaking, oral med n dsw. me n steffi did basic bedmaking while candice n peirong did oral med n dsw. i gt alotta faults la.. kneeling on the ground when tying bedsheet... bending back.. oh n i spent alot of time juz talking to rebekah the neighbour and hejin the patient. candice n peirong did okay la.. but they were still critisized by mdm audrey (mdm huiru's mentor)(the judge) coz they were shocked when mdm asked them to really pour the solutions. i mean, we'd nv did practical b4 ma.. during training everything assume de... and the bottle we used as normal saline aint normal saline after all.. oh and the mdm said we muz use our chi names! becoz of our name tags la.. so candice has to be called 'nurse xinyi', steffi has to be called 'nurse huijun' and i have to be called 'nurse keyun'.. lol only peirong's name dunnit to change... aiya why cant we haf our christian names on our nametags? lol... okay so basically to end it all we need 2 try some practical... waste some soulutions... oh and memorise our scripts!
Footdrill was next. we didnt do our basics well... and the slow march n dressing wasnt very good... there was a time when everyone was squashed together so we had difficulty marching... and our hormats are bad 2... hmm and i need to train up on my slow march.. sometimes i juz cant balance man! so yea there is also alotta room 4 improvement for footdrill la... which means more footdrill training in the mornings and comp trains! (gulp)
Last but not least, the 1st aid case. it was a medium case, wif 1 unconscious casualty (joaee) and 1 conscious casualty (grace foo). i spent quite some time doing cpr. and i didnt use the face-sheild coz apparently i didnt even look at the 1st aid supplies lol. n somemore i left out some stuff in the cpr procedure. the treatment aint done properly.. and there were many times i had nth 2 say. muz drill in on the 1st aid knowledge man! passerby kept askin qns tt i dunno how to ans. sigh. and there was an injury behind the neck of the unconsious casualty and me n steffi didnt know wut was it. sigh. and we didnt check pockets. sigh.
Yea and after tt it was end of mock comp le.. we had a debrief by sir huawei and later by our mentors mdm huiru and staff kianyong. we were on the verge of tears during the whole briefing... but no 1 exactly cried la. and the plans we'd make earlier for lunch was cancelled. me and candice went for lunch @ white sands, xun went to the kfc near dunman high for lunch by herself and i think steffi and peirong went home. after tt we went shopping 4 some bday prezzies... and we practically 4got abt the depressing thing. i even bought the she karaoke dvd... and i got a really big poster.. cool! haha tt's wut so good abt shopping sometimes: u 4get abt everything and for this case we can even make people happy. except for the fact tt ur wallet will b much thinner after the whole shopping process. at least tt was wut happened to mine haha..
Okay tt's all 4 now... i wanna go reflect and study home nursing and do hw le... I shall end this entry with a quote from dear Boxer in Animal Farm: "I will work harder!" =)
I finally haf time to catch my breath. after consecutive days of rushing homework till midnight, im really tired out le lol.. haha but i juz wanna update my blog abit. it's been some time since i've really sit down in front of the com and do sth tt's not hw lol...
Comp trainings and 3rd lang is really taking up alot of time in my life. but i guess i sorta lik it, i lik to train wif my teammates, and i totally love my jap classes... (now comp train's even more hectic coz mock comp's this sat and zone comp's less than 1 mth away...) well, except for the fact tt sometimes i've to work till very late to complete my hw since i reach home @ lik 8pm almost everyday now... tok abt comp trainings, i 4got tt i need to do up flowcharts for my home nursing procedures! haiz.. later then do la.. i juz wanna spend some time slacking awhile. my time management is actually improvin i think, last yr i dun haf much hw n i go home early but i stil sleep @ lik 12+pm lor.. but now i go home late and i haf more hw den b4 and i try to get myself to sleep b4 1am... haha yea... but sometimes i can drag until as late as 2am also la.. tt depends on wut hw i haf.
Yay i've juz visited fianna's blog @ www.fiannafieru-.blogspot.com... the blogskin's really pretty... thnx to the blog pros lik april and dawntan and peeps. haha i wasnt of much help 4 the blog part la.. but i really like my class blog haha.
My life has been really umm... restless nowadays... so many things have happened lol... psst i think my squadmates shud noe wut im tokin abt la... haha... but anyway i think im stil gonna concentrate more on my comp trainings and jap and hw... haha i haf no time to care abt other stuff 4 the time being...
Okay okay it's time i go and finish my procedure flowcharts n other sch stuff le.. byebye! =)
Finally i haf some time to blog! Haha yup.. today's valentine's day... but im stil as busy as ever haha... got some prezzies from some of my frenz ya... i especially liked the balloon flower tt cpl yingxiao made 4 the whole squad... it was really nice of him to stay up the whole night makin balloons 4 us... though it was rather weird to carry the ballon together wif a mineral water bottle with a rose in it and my files when i got home from jap today... i didnt giv any1 any prezzie... paiseh... anyway ya im juz lik droppin by to update abit la.. this yr's another lonely valentine's day haha... hmm ya tt's abt all... HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!!
