Girl's Day Out 10:22 PM

Visited Liz at her house today. I wanted to swim with her, but she didn't want to get herself tanned. -.-

So. We slacked the whole time! I reached her house at 1pm, we had lunch at 3pm and after that we watched a movie on her laptop- A Walk To Remember. Oh that movie was nice! But I can only tear under cinema conditions haha. But, I'm tired of the girl dying! Why can't the guy did for a change? :D I may cry if the guy died instead of the girl haha.

And... after that we went on with our little facial treatment haha. Yeah, and that was my day, much better than Wednesday, when I tried to be a good girl and stay at home, and ended up getting tired of the computer and the television, and practically stayed on the sofa doing nothing useful the whole day! That was such a waste. At least I spent my day with a friend and indulged in a nice romantic movie today. :D

I like Girls' Day Outs.

End of Exams '08 9:24 PM

FREEDOM!

History Exam ended today. I can't help feeling uneasy now, 'cos I think I'd made a terrible mistake in SBQ. I agreed to the hypothesis to a small extent, 'cos I didn't link the trench warfare to the failure of the Schlieffen Plan! I explained them as 2 different points; that trench warfare was the main cause that led to Germans' defeat, and not the failure of the Schlieffen Plan. Oh no! :/ I hope I won't fail. But I believe I argued my points properly, just that I seemed to have argued the wrong wrong point. I grouped sources B and E as supporting (they mentioned the Schlieffen Plan) and the rest as challenge sources.

Oh, forget about that. After the exam, Liz and I rushed off to ORCHARD! Yippee, exams are over. Liz was feeling sore about her History Exam, but I knew watching MAMMA MIA! would cheer her up. And it did! Yeah, we went to buy movie tickets at Orchard Cineleisure, then changed and headed to Paragon for a most satisfying lunch. After such a long time! All this while when I studied with her I was made to eat fastfood with her, 'cos she wanted to save money. Well, today we went to Spageddies and we had soup of the day and a very nice pizza! There was desert too, apple crumble. Yeah, and we rushed off just in time to the cinema to watch the movie! :)

MAMMA MIA was soooo good! :D I love the songs, everything!
♪ You are my dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen ♪
♪ Mamma mia, here I go again, my my, how can I resist you? ♪
♪ Money money money, must be funny, in a rich man's world ♪

Everyone go watch! It's really highh and funny! Heehee. The actor who played Sky (Dominic Cooper) was pretty cute. Liz seconds this comment! :D

After the movie, of course there were NEOPRINTS! Heh, girl's day out should always have neoprints. Liz's gonna scan them in, so I shall post them later. :) Haven't taken neoprints for a long time, ever since Nicole's birthday.

Of course, there was shopping! We went around many stores, and got ourselves pretty broke. There was more window-shopping than buying, but spending quality time with friends after exams are cleared is really carefree and fun! :D Bought matching earrings to match with my matching necklace for prom. I'm glad I didn't spend too much money today!

Yup, and so the whole day ended, after we dropped by Bistro Delifrance for tea. I was dead tired by then, and I can't help worrying about my history. Oh well, my worries will disappear after a night's sleep. I forgot what I worried about Maths 2 already, hehe.

We're getting back our results on OCTOBER 2ND! Gee, I hope my results won't ruin my birthday! Last year Maths 2 exams ruined my birthday. Anyway, I still look forward to next Thursday with happy thoughts! :D

I embrace the end of exams '08. :)

Love is all around 10:25 PM

It was the last episode of "Love is All Around" today! Yay, there was a happy ending after all! :D My friend spoilt it for me earlier on, saying it had a sad ending. But the ending was sooooo sweet! Well, Jiawei found the ring which Xiaoyue had thrown into the sea. And they patched up with a nice hug! Heh the scene touched me to tears. :)

Jiawei is such a heart throb. I want a devoted guy like him! :D

Hee, the final History exam is tomorrow! It's the last one already! I hope it turns out fine. All the best everyone! :)

Sunday 10:55 PM

Sunday!

Heh. I was meeting my mum at Tampines for lunch today with my brother, after her church service (I'd skipped church this week again to study history), and we ended up shopping after that! I bought matching shoes for my dress for prom night (I think it's really pretty! :D), and my brother made my mum spend $200 for the OP membership card (he's crazy about OP nowadays), with a couple of chip-ins from me.

After that we realised we were eligible for some lucky draw at Century Square, so we signed up for that and the person at the information counter asked us whether we wanted to attend a grooming session with Elaine Heng, some image consultant who has her own company and was previously a Miss Singapore International! Well, so I happily pulled my reluctant mum along, with the fact that it's free and we were one of the lucky 20 shoppers who were eligible (after spending $50) and there's a mystery gift, which turned out to be some weird lipstick.

The talk was okay, I guess. Elaine talked about colours. Like dark, medium, light colours, warm and cool colours and blah. She also helped us to analyse our body shape, and what types of clothes would suit us, based on our skin tone and body shape. I found out that I have a proportionate 'H' body shape, and I should wear "medium cool" colours. Hahaha, so that's what an image consultant does. And she earns a lot by giving people such tips! She says she earns $88 from such analyses. Maybe an image consultant's a good future career. :D

Exams over for the week 9:48 PM

Yippee!

This long week of examinations is finally over! At least, all major science examinations. Physics was a total flop. Other than that, I hope everything else is okay! :) I so so want to pass my Maths.

Went home early today, and had a nice sleep. :D Studying Bio and Maths2 formulas really drained me out. Now it's just History! Oh well, I guess that needs some reading up too. Actually I'm kind of in holiday mood already.

I can't wait to enjoy myself on Tuesday! Like watch Mamma Mia! Hee.

Birthday Wishes 5:16 PM

Hehe. This is so random. I've decided to make a birthday wishlist! Actually I'm pretty contented with my life and what I have already, but I don't mind having these few things! :D

1. A Teddy from the Build-a-bear workshop! Ooh, I'm dreaming of a classic bear wearing something cute, like a pink dress or something. I've wanted one ever since last year, when I first saw a Build-a-bear workshop in UK trip! :D But it's really not very meaningful to buy it for myself after all...

2. A nice get-together with my friends! (Well, there's enrichment activities in school on my b'day. -.-)

3. A hand-made birthday cake! A simple cheese cake would be nice, but that's not going to come from my family since my parents don't bake and they don't like cheese. Actually, I don't mind blueberry muffins too! :D

I can't think of anymore. I shall continue updating my list soon! Oh, and scrape my previous post about me buying that super-expensive windbreaker. After much thought, I've decided it's a very silly thing to spend so much money on clothes. :)

Mediacorp Bazaar Sale 7:06 PM

Went to the Mediacorp Bazaar Sale today!

There was no one who was willing to come with me, so in the end I had to drag my poor mother along, who was least interested in such clothes. We reached at 10.30am (half an hour after the bazaar started), and there was already a huge crowd grabbing clothes! I didn't expect such a big crowd, since the place was pretty inaccessible (at least for me). Anyway, all the nice clothes from the recent dramas got grabbed! :( Including this:

Jeanette's Pink Windbreaker, from The Defining Moment. I was planning to buy it, although it actually costs $99! (I was planning not to shop so much after that if I do actually get it, hee.) I really liked it alot! I watched the drama and saw her wearing it for the first time, and I thought it looked really nice. When I reached I walked 3 rounds around the area trying to spot it, hoping someone had taken it at first, contemplated about the cost and decided that it shouldn't be worth so much or something. I wonder if I'll be able find it in some retail store around, or get it as a birthday present! *hints loudly* :) The least anyone can do would be to tell me where can I actually find something similar hee.

In the end, I settled for a few apparels, including tops from the recent drama Beach Ball Babes. Got something which Jesseca Liu wore in that drama, and their mizuno volleyball jersey! :D Oh, I got a skirt from some ancient supermodel show in 1993 (it was written on the tag at the inside of the skirt), it's in perfect condition and it has a nice texture!

The holidays are ending soon. I haven't finished studying! Hmmmmm. I think I should continue reading my bio textbook. Goodbye!

Song 9:55 PM

Ooh I love this song! :D
That actor I liked in "Love is All Around" is actually the Malaysian Superstar!
It's so simple and sweet. Lalala~
