Funeral ): 5:45 PM

I visited my Uncle Anthony's funeral today.

Well, I'm not exactly very close to him; in fact I haven't seen him for like, 10 years? Yeah, he's the eldest brother over at my mum's side, but my I heard from my cousin (mum's sister) that there were some problems in the family, so they hardly contact each other. Between my mum, her two sisters and him. He died from a heart attack; but it was a peaceful death, 'cos he was under medication which suppressed the symptoms (e.g. heart pains) and when they found out and sent him to hospital, it was pretty late. His son said that he probably didn't even know he died of a heart-attack; but he was complaining of breathlessness though.

Still, I was pretty sad when I saw him being sent into the van, to the crematory. I took a glance at him before that at the funeral, and he looked pretty good; with the makeup and stuff. He felt and sounded (from what I'd heard from his sons) like a great guy, but I shan't probe into my mum's family affairs.

I was quite inspired by what Uncle Anthony's son, Fabien, who shouted "I love you!" when the coffin was being sent to the crematory, where we had a clear view in the viewing hall. "I am sad, not because that my father passed away, but because I had always wanted to tell him that I love him, but I didn't, and now there's no more chance for me to do so. " Even though I don't know my uncle too well, I still teared, because I was pretty touched by his sons. I hardly see men cry so badly.

If you love someone, do tell him or her so, before it's too late. I quoted this from my cousin Fabien too (It feels pretty weird to call him by his name, 'cos he's about 30 years old and all, much older than me) and I agree though, although I guess, I myself fail to do so.

My uncle's ashes are going to be scattered into the sea. I think that's a really nice way to handle the ashes; to be gone with the sea. Hmmm. I think I shall let it happen to me too.

May God bless my uncle up in Heaven.

Fun Friday before Holidays 8:22 PM

Hehe! I have lots to blog today! :D

Today's the last day of school, before the September holidays. Tomorrow's teacher's day celebration. Time passed quickly today, and I had lots of things to keep me busy so I didn't feel sleepy at all, like BSP matters and stuff. After school I had to go for BSP test. OOH it wasn't too bad after all! I'm pretty amazed at my crapping skills (I did Beijing Olympics question). After all I'm good with feelings, I'm a "F" person. :)

After that I left with Cindy, Xunlin and Yiling. Cindy and I were going to submit our JLPT forms at Bugis, Xunlin had to get props for their class's movie theme tomorrow, and Yiling was going home. So yeah, Cindy, Xunlin and I dropped off at Bugis, and Cindy and I separated ways with Xunlin. Firstly, we had to take passport size photos. After much searching around, I asked the security guard and we finally found a passport photo machine.

Funny thing 1:
Cindy and I went inside the toilet to check our attire. Then Cindy told me "I think we should tell the person we're not taking passport photos, so we can let our fringes cover our eyebrows. "
I stared at her. "Cindy, we're going to a machine, who do you want to talk to?!" Now, that was really funny hee. :D
Anyway self taking machines aren't good; I couldn't see myself properly and I had 1 tiny strip of hair down the middle of my face, and the camera captured it so clearly!

We had our photos taken and we went to find Xunlin for Cindy to help pay for the props, 'cos Xunlin didn't have enough money. Then after that Cindy and I left to find the Japanese office thing. We came to a building with a "This Fashion" near Bugis, 'cos Ashley gave us the directions and we thought we came to the right building. We went up to the 5th floor, as instructed by Ashley, and there was no office of anything close. So we tried all the stories, and we found a store that looked like a Japanese office. Cindy stared at the advertisement stuck on the glass, the back of the paper, and read "Osaka. Should be the right one la!" So we went in and enquired, and they did accept JLPT applications, but not for us! They were accepting applications for some particular school only. So the nice lady gave us directions to the correct one after finding out that we came to the wrong place.

And we headed off again. Two roads down. We came to a group of buildings together. And we saw the "This Fashion"! Yes, it's another one. We went in to the lift nearby straightaway, thinking it was the right place. And yes, we got it wrong again, after trying all the stories.

Funny thing 2:
We came to a storey when a man came in. And we were like, "Excuse me, do you know how to we get to the Japanese..."
And the man answered "Hai!"
And I exclaimed, "Oh! We found the place!" and rushed out of the lift. Cindy followed, and before she left she said "Arigato gozaimasu." to the man!
Then the man quickly said "Huh? Waitwait What are you trying to find?"
(By this time we realised that it's not the place.)
We went back into the lift and I said, "Oh, we need to find this place where we can submit our forms for the Japanese examination, if you know what it is..."
Then the man said, "I don't know where it is, there's at least one school in every level. You can try checking the directory."
Then on the way down, I said, "Oh, I thought we found the place, 'cos we heard you speaking Japanese. "
Then the man said, "Huh? I did? You must've heard wrongly."
Cindy said, "Yes, you said Hai!"
The man replied, "That's the only line I know! Everyone says that nowadays. " and all of us started laughing!

In the end, we found out it's the wrong place still. So we called Ashley for help again, and he still said it's at Pools. And OMG, me and Cindy walked past that Pools place and we realised there's another LIFTS BLOCK on the other side of the store! And next to it said "Midlink Building", the one we were looking for all along! Sigh, me and Cindy are so careless! Haha, and we finally managed to find the building and submit our applications! :)

Oh, and all the while Xunlin was waiting for us at the MRT station. We felt quite bad 'cos we made her wait so long, so we planned something. We asked her to come up from the MRT station to have dinner with us. When she comes up, Cindy and I were supposed to bow in unison and say "Gomenasai!" Haha but when she came out Cindy lagged, and I was waiting for the cue, which was looking at each other! Hee.

Funny thing 3:
Yup so we went for dinner. Cindy recommended some small eating house, and the waitress ushered us to a seat next to a couple behaving quite intimately. We stared at them for 1 second, stared at each other for another and started giggling the next! Hehe, but they didn't really noticed I think, they were quite engrossed in their own conversation. So we decided to get another seat instead, so that we won't disturb them haha. :)

Funny thing 4:

After dinner, we wanted to get drinks, and we were planning to get Bubble Tea from the basement. But we couldn't find the store so I suggested getting something from the supermarket. And we came to the Fruit Juices section. Cindy grabbed a sunkist orange juice, Xunlin got another drink. I didn't know which brand of orange juice to take, so I started staring at all the other brands. "Hmmm. This is more healthy. It has a healtier choice sign! (Peel Fresh)"
Xunlin spotted the Peel Fresh Mango (paper packaging) and said "Oh, this brand is cheaper and bigger!"
Cindy looked at all the capacities on the drinks and said "All of them are 250ml!"
Xunlin said "This brand's cheaper (Paper packaging Peel Fresh)!"
I said "This brand's healthier (compared to Sunkist orange, which didn't have the symbol)!"
Cindy got swayed, and said "Okay la. I'll get the healthier one."
So she took the Peel Fresh one and replaced it with her Sunkist bottled juice.

And all of us thought of different things regarding this picture at the same time!
Me: "Tsk. Cindy is so inconsiderate not to place the drink in its proper position."
Cindy: "I want the Sunkist orange to reflect on how it isn't as healthy as the Peel Fresh one!" (LOL!)
Xunlin: (Just kept laughing).

Oh, and there was this instance when I decided to change my drink, 'cos the packaging had creases. Yes, perfectionist me! And Xunlin thought it was because I thought "the one inside would be more healthy!" Hehehe. Now that was really funny! And then Cindy and Xunlin complained about the DUST on the orange juice! Well, it was on the upper shelf, so it could've been because of the fridge air-con...

ALL of us behaved like AUNTIES at the supermarket! Hahaha, that was really funny.

Okay, so we went home! :D What a fun day. Although it was a chore hunting for that Japanese office, I had soooo much fun with my squadmates! Haven't enjoyed myself for quite awhile already. :D

Yay, we can dress up for teacher's day tomorrow! Oh well, I think I'm going to be overdressed, but I have something sooo suitable for Misa! Well, I hardly have any black normal clothes anyway (in fact I don't think I have any!) so I guess I'll just wear that hehe. Death Note! :)

Good night!

What a busy week!

At least we finally got rid of all the tests before the examinations! :D Next week's my jap prelims, I hope I do okay!

Heh. Went for the BSP trip travel briefing in school with my mum today. WELL, I didn't receive Gui Ju's message to wear school-based shirts, and I came to school dressed in home clothes! Oh my god, that was way embarrassing, i was the only DHS student wearing home clothes! Ahh well, i was going to meet someone later anyway. Oh, Mr Ong says the Chinese families there treat our students very well! :D At least, 9/10 people comes home happy, he said. We get to do Chinese papers from the Chinese schools there! For preparation of our HCL O levels. Hehe, bet the paper standard's much higher!

Oh, the MEETUP. Well, I was going to accompany Liz to meet "Bryan Tsui" a.k.a "Your One and Only" and "Tsuittie" today, and it's a long story why we were even going to meet him. Anyway, I met her at RafflesCity, only to find out that she fell for this horrible prank by Chester and supported by Nat and Denise! Heh. And I was given a free fresh rose by Liz, from "Bryan", 'cos there was no way she could bring it home. So. I didn't meet that Bryan Tsui, Liz's stalker didn't exist (if you consider Chester who was playing "Bryan Tsui" as one) and she ended up in a chase to hit Chester around RafflesCity. O.O Well, later he finally gave up when I stopped Liz from chasing him and we went to Shokudo to have some really late lunch. Then I left ('cos I wanted to watch TV!) and they chatted all the way till late again heehee.

Ooh, I'm so caught up with the new local dramas on Channel 8 now! I like "Love is All Around". played at 7pm on weekdays. I like the couple played by Apple Hong and some new guy actor, which I don't know his name. He's cute! And he acts as a nicenice guy, almost like Elvin Ng. :D Oh, and I like "The Big Hotel", played at 5.30pm on weekdays too! Now that's a repeat, but it's so entertaining! And for the weekends there's "The Golden Path", the repeat, played from 4.30pm - 6.30pm. (Now I rushed home to catch this today. Anyway it left Liz and Chester with their private talk!)

The attack of the Study Bug. I shall go study my Jap! See you! :)

Updates 9:52 PM

I'm here to blog! :)

Heh, actually nothing much happened today; I was at home all day except going out for lunch. My whole week was so busy! But some tests were postponed to next week, so I'm gonna be real busy next week too!

Went for ACSI Guitar Concert yesterday. I finally met Nat and Liz's mates! That satisfied my curiosity hee. Well, Chester and Judith were pretty fun people! :) We missed half of that guitar concert! Oh, we were caught in a traffic jam; there was a car accident. OMG that was the first time I witnessed a car accident. Hmmm. I thought the sight was pretty disturbing; with the man lying on the road with quite a bit of blood. ;/ It looked like one of those SJ cases though! Just that it's for real this time, and we can't possibly help much too. I hope he's alright! Ahh well. The second part of the concert was rocking good! Perhaps the front part was just classical pieces hee. :)

2 more weeks to exams! It's time to study I guess; but before that I have to clear my present tasks! Which means homework. Byebye!

I love High School Musical: The Ice Tour! :D

Caught the last show with my family today. Well, I loved all the songs and how they were performed! The ice skating stunts were really cool, although there were a couple of blunders here and there, which would be inevitable, I guess. I think the the dances were cheorographed very well!

As usual, i liked the duets the best again. :D "The Start of Something New", "Breaking Free", "You're the Music in Me" and "I Gotta Go my Own Way." Ahh yes. I've always liked the solo by Gabriella, "When There Was Me and You".

What a fun Sunday! After a nice NDP celebration yesterday. :)

Physics test 9:54 PM

Had Physics test first thing in the morning today. Well... It wasn't too bad, but I'd made a lot of careless mistakes! :( I hope Mr Koh will give me B.O.D. Heh, but all's good after clearing Physics test first thing in the morning!

OMG I was totally embarrassed with my super lengthy history essay today. Hmmm. Yeah, I have to admit, I didn't have time to do a decent one. So, well, there was quite a bit of... referring. I thought I was required to write about 1500 words! Heh, nevermind la. Oh well. I barely failed, so that's actually quite a good thing! :)

Heh. I realised this year's National Day Song sung by Cai Chun Jia actually have a romantic subplot in the MV! :D Yeah, I watched it carefully for once and spotted that bit of love. I think it's pretty sweet hehe.

Oh, I have to study for my Kanji now! Good night!

Dunk It 10:09 PM

Hehe, went for CIP today! Well, it was to teach people responsible disposal of rubbish, but we were like only playing games with the public. Guess the message's quite obvious, with our tee! :D I like our Dunk It tee. Plus it's free! Oh, and there were many fun moments too!

Me and PMz took a photo with a NS men on duty! Well, the whole group was pretty free, under a large tent. This guy is super nice! We troubled him a lot, like making him take photos with us (it was part of the treasure hunt) and getting signatures. He actually went round the whole tent asking his mates to sign! Haha, a lot of them were sleeping though.

Group photo at the Fullerton Hotel!

Xun Lin and me. The "couple eating icecream". Well... it was one of the things we had to get for our treasure hunt too! We all agree that xun looks shuai, right? :)

Group photo with the China tourists who were willing to join in a game with us! The two guys in the middle were supposed to act cute, but it was more of cool I guess?

43 leaves for treasure hunt!

Oh, these few yellow structures were supposed to be stuffed with bottles. Guess it should be filled by now! :)

It was soooo hot, all of us got icecream! Apparently I opted for a pink one again. :D

Random back view of Dunk It tee. I like the panda-like mascot!

Pretty view of the Esplanade.

NDP preview! Saw helicopters flying by, when we were sitting at the steps of City Hall after our tasks were completed.

PMz and me! :)

Our free packed dinner. Heh it has so much veggies! Nevermind, it actually caters to my liking. :D

Yay some planes flew by and they made a heart shape with their smoke. :D

Fireworks!

Liked this fireworks photo the best! The fireworks are so defined. :) Actually I took a whole lot of photos, but most of them were blur due to the massive amount of smoke. -.- Yes there was sooo much smoke after fireworks display each time!

Heh. This was a photo with a building that was flashing the words "NDP 2008". Not very clear, but nevermind!

OOH. I shall proudly announce that I saw a MOUSE for the first time in my life today! :D Well, I was on the way home with them and we spotted a mouse scurrying across a road. I thought it was pretty cute. :)
Gee, I'm dead tired now. Good night!
