Michael Jackson's This Is It was a good watch! :)
I just found out that he's a really good singer and dancer. Didn't really notice him until he... passed on though. Cos before that his scandals (and looks) made me have a bad impression of him. After he passed away, it made me curious to see what he's like and all lol! He's not that bad after all. At least he really cares for the world and people.
His concert rehearsal scenes were damn cool la! xD Liz and I loved the toaster stage technique. And he performed his greatest hits such as They Don't Care About Us, Smooth Criminal, Billy Jean, Thriller, The Way You Make Me Feel, Beat It (that's our fave!), Heal The World... And at the end of the movie they played the new song This Is It. I started liking a few of his songs in the most indirect ways. I liked Beat It when I first heard it in my yoga body combat lesson (me and zina were boxing to the music lol!), heard of Man In The Mirror in one of my school's assemby talks, I probably heard a lot of Heal The World in CD stores, and I first heard Billy Jean and The Way You Make Me Feel in the recent Singapore Idol's Tribute to Michael Jackson episode! xD I tried watching Thriller on Youtube a while ago too, but got freaked out by the mv and stopped watching halfway.
They showed the making of the concert background video too! :D I liked the multiplication effect in They Don't Care About Us, where a few dancers could be replicated into thousands of them dancing together. The Smooth Criminal video was cool too. And there's the Thriller video, where they filmed the setting and how the actors dressed up as the scary people, so it wasn't as scary when I watched it this time haha. In fact I liked the 'pouncing' action in the dance! :D Then there was this pole-dancing bit and I think the female dancers were really good. Oh, and he did this really disturbing dance move, called the 'crotch grab'. Liz wasn't too disturbed by it though, but I really was. xD I think it's obscene. I can't help but giggle when he did it on stage! Then there was this scene where the dancers were learning to do this dance step and it was disturbing too. Heh but I liked this whole compilation of music for this movie! :D
Couldn't resist the temptation and bought the MJ combo which consists of a 'L' size t-shirt with the print of the movie poster, popcorn and a drink. It costed me $15.00. xD And I don't even eat popcorn and drink coke lol, it's all for the t-shirt. xD So I bought the combo after the movie and brought home the food for my family. And the tee is so over-sized (there's only one size available), I can wear it as a dress! Or give it to my dad sighh. Hmmm. I think I'll wear it to sleep.
After that we walked back to white sands for liz to get accessories and I went to bank in money which she'd passed to me for our flea market booth. Sighh I must replenish my bank acc. We went to sportslink too, and she says she's prolly gonna get the same silver shoes with me. Then we'll have couple shoes! xD But seriously, adidas midiru's really comfy and chic! :D
OP stuffs tomorrow again! xD Ah well, at least I enjoyed today with my bestie!
Received pretty positive comments from the teachers during OP trial today. Confidence boost! :D "Pleasant and confident" when I was actually a bit shaky inside. xD Hopefully I can maintain or improve my standard on the real OP! Yeahh I hope everyone does well for PW!
Went shopping with my mum in the afternoon. At OG Chinatown. xD Tried giving her some fashion tips but she refused to listen to my recommendations. Ah well. Spotted some bling-bling dress at the Dorothy Perkins section and decided to try it on for fun!
Since I can't have it (I won't get to wear it and it costs $100+), I might as well take a photo with it for a memoto! :D
Mum bought me new shoes for school too. Omg adidas midiru2 range is super comfy! :D I know I shouldn't be wearing such colours to school, but there's only gold and silver for me to choose from under this range, and I reasoned out that silver isn't as striking as gold, so I decided to buy it haha. Plus it's 90% white! xD Sigh but I think the gold version actually looks nicer than silver, though all the while I think gold = old fashioned haha.
Rented a booth (Stall 029) with liz for Flea-Mania on Nov 21 at Home Club (Clarke Quay)! Yeah and we're totally excited about this whole thing, like how to deco our booth and stuff. Think it's gonna be really fun! :D And we can get rid of old stuff and earn some money at the same time too. Come support people! :D

Looks like this word has officially become part of our Singlish dictionary. It was practically glaring at me when I walked past it. And no, it's not funny. Not anymore.
I'm starting to feel really sorry for Ris Low. Singaporeans love to make a big fuss out of small things, just because it's funny. Please, I bet there're many people out there who speak even worse than her. If they're laughing at her, it just means they're laughing at themselves. Just because she caught the media's attention, she became the talk of the town. Does it do Singaporeans any good to keep emphasising that our English is bad? Imitating her on youtube, using her quotes for publicity, blah.
Sometimes I think people just have nothing better to do.
Year 5 has finally come to an end. I don't know whether I'm happy or sad, but I'm sad when my friends are sad. :( And I can't seem to console people properly sighh. My horoscope's right, whatever I say this month gets interpreted wrongly. And I gotta buck up if I want to get into a course of my choice in uni, or even to enter uni! :/ I'm like far from uni expectations now.
Went job-hunting with xh after school, and got rejected several times because they are either looking for full-timers or part-timers who can work beyond 1 month, which I can't 'cos my taiwan trip in dec already takes up 2 whole weeks, plus there's dance and stuff. :( Somemore I'd already filled in the form for Swensens, but when I talked to the manager he said he couldn't take me in 'cos after they train me for abt 2 weeks, I can only work for a couple of weeks, and then leave. But I need extra income for my recent expenditure during post-exams! xD Ahh well. But pw's really quite worrying now, there seems to be lotsa stuff to do! Though my group is still calm and all. Hopefully we'll be productive this weekend!
A short post to update haha. Since I have more time to myself and pw 'cos no one wants to hire me, I shall try to borrow The Proposal, Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past and Slumdog Millionaire to watch haha. And omg, study, or revision yup. If I actually have enough motivation sigh.
But I still embrace the holidays! :D

2nd October
I had a very memorable sweet 17th. :)
I thought it'd be like last year, when I just spent my day (after collecting my horrible maths results, i'd remembered) with liz and have a nice lunch, take neoprints and just have fun. But this year was, surprising. I totally didn't expect zina, simin, louise and bg to spring me with a bday surprise at vivo playground! xD Because before that simin told me she and yijie had their appointments, so they couldn't celebrate my bday with me yeah.
So when liz led me to the vivo playground, telling me before that she had to hunt for a shop which sells like dollhouse stuffs, I happened to spot zina with ophilia and her friend (yes I didn't see the rest of them at first), but she was back-facing me and I tried calling her. And she didn't reply me, so I thought I was calling the wrong person lol. Then I walked towards them, and then I saw bg, simin and louise sitting down. And I STILL didn't know they were there waiting for me, seriously. I even asked them why they were there! It took me quite awhile to get over my state of shock/surprise haha. So simin played me 天使, with bg and louise singing. It was really sweet, and I was touched but I couldn't bring myself to cry lol. And then I started to giggle, with my eyes getting slightly watery. Then zina passed me a heart-shaped cake they'd bought for me from breadtalk. I shifted the plastic wrap around the cake a little, and the pink mousse layer started oozing out! xD My fault, I took really long to appear (I thought I was celebrating with just liz alone, so I got her to cineleisure to take neoprints and have lunch with me before going to vivo to "get what she wanted to get". And I was almost one hour late meeting her, and I took surprisingly long to finish my pasta at shokudo.) so my cake melted on me.
Yup, and after that we left the playground and went to kfc for bg and simin to get food. After that they left and liz and I hanged around at vivo for a bit, before I had to leave for changi airport to meet my family for dinner and later pick my uncle francis and auntie judy when they arrived from korea after their 1-week trip. Time passes so fast, last friday we just sent them off! xD My parents treated me to a crystal jade dinner. Their xiaolongbaos are nice! :D Haven't eaten them for awhile.
After that when uncle francis and auntie judy arrived, we sent them back to their place in marine parade, and they unpacked some of their gifts for us. They bought us a lot of snacks! :) And then after that we went home. Tired! xD But I still decided to use my comp to upload some photos before I went to sleep at 1.30am lol.
I smiled myself to sleep that day. :) Literally. Thank you dear friends (those who celebrated with me and also people who sent me wishes on facebook or on my phone)/family for giving me such a wonderful 17th bday!
PS. Liz, your message for me, the last 2 lines were reallyyy wrong. xD

Spent my afternoon (I only woke up close to 12pm) editing/ uploading bday photos, and at night I went for Ronald Cheng X William So's concert at max pavillion, singapore expo. It was a wonderful birthday present! I had a really enjoyable time listening to all the classic love songs I'd heard on 9.72FM by the both of them. Their voices are charming... xD But they were speaking and singing in cantonese -due to the majority of the audience who were hongkongers and kept requesting for them to speak and sing in cantonese- most of the time, and my mum, bro and me cannot understand! Even though I'm a cantonese lol. But their songs just sound nice, even if I don't understand what they're singing. :) After the concert, my mum and dad started liking concerts too haha! They used to complain that it's a waste of money and stuff yeah. But got generation gap! xD Cos my dad was like saying, "Next time we go watch 费玉清's concert!"

Decided to wear the necklace you gave me yesterday. And very unexpectedly enough, I saw you (or I thought I did), but you didn't see me. You were with your friends, and I was with my family, so I decided not to go over and say hi. I realised you still make my heart skip a beat. Oh well. This is a very important time for you. Study hard! :)
Spent my afternoon shopping today, and spent a lot of money. xD But I bought pretty, and somewhat-necessary stuffs, and I'm happy. I only have these few days to rest, and then I have to prep for at least 1 maths re-paper! T.T Maths yesterday was horrible sighh. But actually I'm still quite confident of my performance for the other papers lol.Watched TTTW with zina yesterday, and cried a bucket of tears. xD It was sad!

I just discovered a new app on facebook (superpoke pets) and adopted a super cute bunny lol.
