I'm baack from BSP trip! :D
Actually I was arrived in Singapore yesterday night, but I had to go home and study last minute for my Jap Os today, so I'm only blogging now. Jap Os paper one was okayy, I guess. :)
Omg I totally love Jiangsu Haimen! I love my host family! 姜杰灵, 姜叔叔 and 姜阿姨. They were so sweet to me and Cass! 姜杰灵's parents called us "小马" and "小郭" there. I couldn't bear to leave them yesterday, I was the only silly person out of the 5 who had to leave early for Jap examinations who cried.
Oh, the melamine-food crisis. Everyone drank milk there! Well... our hosts offered us, so we couldn't reject, could we? Anyway they did assure us that the milk's safe; after all they would be more worried than us.
FOOD! My host family's really very generous with food. The appetizers normally consist of about 8 dishes, there are about 4-6 main dishes and then they serve the staple food, rice or noodles. Normally Cass and I would be really full after trying all of the dishes, and skip the staple food. There were all sorts of foods which I've never thought of trying/ seen in Singapore. I ate all sorts of meat in my first dinner, the night I arrived in Haimen! There's like chicken, pork, beef, mutton, fish, prawns and even sparrow meat! O.O The prawns were like drunk; they were raw and immersed in a whole plate of wine. Oh and there was dimsum too, this really nice fried pumpkin rolls. We tried everything out of courtesy, but actually they tasted pretty good, just that I'm still not used to eating sparrows. Actually the food there is much more oily than Singapore food, and we ate quite alot, so I guess I must've grown fatter! :( There were a couple of drinks I liked there too; 王老吉, this very nice herbal tea which has a very unique taste, and 玉米露, a corn drink, both I think are not found in Singapore. 叔叔 knows we like the drinks, and bought us some to bring back to Singapore! :)
Shopping! I'm quite glad to say that I haven't shopped much this trip, on my wants, but I spent quite alot on my gold bomber jacket (200RMB, which means about $40), the one I'm wearing in my photos, and was quite guilty after that. I spent a whole lot on food and gifts for people! In fact, most of my money went to food. I grabbed boxes and boxes of pockys and pejoys on the last night of my stay at the supermarket, they're not for me, in fact they're for my friends! :D I bought a cute panda tee at the airport though, together with Cindy. I don't like shopping at the airport! Everything's so expensive. :(
I shall post some pictures which I'd koped from 叔叔's camera, and my handphone. My camera screwed up, with a darker shade which affected all of my pictures! Most of my nice pictures are with Nicole Tan and Angelina, who're still in China.
A nice group photo together! 姜阿姨, 姜杰灵, Cass, Me and 姜叔叔.
南通大道, on our drive to Suzhou to play on Sunday. It's really cold and windy there!
The three kids.

The three of us + 姜叔叔.

Omg 阿姨 is so cute! :)

叔叔!
At the entrance of 苏州乐园, a theme park which I'd never heard of, but it's really cool!
Round and round the horse carousel! :D
Dinner that night, in the restaurant of a hotel.
Lots of dishes!
I was pretty fascinated by the smiley face on my serving of 大闸蟹. :D
This is the 电视塔! I really thought it looked like the imitation of the Eiffel Tower. :D
Me posing with 叔叔's car!
This is random. I caught a super big fish, together with Cui Ting, Nicole, and Angelina on our fishing trip! It's really pretty, isn't it? :) But I feel sorry for it; it was cooked in our dinner, but I didn't eat any of it.
Another random picture. I like 阿姨's 肉包子s! She made them herself. It's a snack made of carrots and meat, wrapped with beancurd skin. I mistook them for my favourite white round paus when she said she was going to make them for us though. Vocab difference!
I lugged home seventeen boxes of special flavoured pocky/ pejoy biscuit sticks! There's only fifteen boxes here 'cos I just sold 2 boxes of tiramisu flavoured pejoys to Cui Ting today. They taste good, they're not available in Singapore (though it was featured in one of our urban magazines before- tiramisu flavour) and they're CHEAP! :D I bought them for my dear friends!
There's chocolate with red wine, tiramisu, chocolate mousse, dark chocolate, blueberry, cheesecake and matcha flavours! :)
They gave Cass and me each a BIG 布娃娃! It's really cute! :D

AWWWW I love my bread plushie! :D It's really adorable especially with its wide grin. Thanks a whole lot to Deborah, Jia Yi, Cassandra and Zina! It's a wonderful birthday present. Heh actually my whole family likes it; my dad even wants to spread kaya on it and eat it. -.- I've been hugging it randomly all day! Hmmm. I shall think of a name for it. :)
Oh, Wayne gave me a musical box which has the tune "Happy Birthday". I think it's really sweet too. Thank you! :D Heh, Denise has a similar one for her birthday too, it plays "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".
I'm leaving for China this Wednesday, at 8.05am! That's really soon; and I haven't really packed my luggage yet. Now I'm looking forward to my homestay, 'cos Cassandra's going to stay with me in the same house! :D Hmmm. I'm imagining my host to be pretty rich, since she's able to host 2 people. Heard that China's gonna be cold, and all of us were freezing LT today already, with an estimated temperature of 23 degrees. China's lowest temperature is 16 degrees now! I need warmer clothes. We did paper one today! Like gong han and zuo wen. Sigh, and we're still supposed to bring practice papers to do during the trip! When I'm supposed to study for my Jap Os... Omg talk about Jap, I have my oral tomorrow! :/
Gee, my sunbun still hurts! And today Liz happened to hit me on the shoulder quite a bit in the morning, and I was screaming in pain. Actually a slight pat is painful too. I can't carry my light bagpack with ease, my shoulders were so sore! Actually I can't even touch my shoulders and back with my towel properly, neither can I slip on a tee without them hurting. Ahhh. I hope my sunburn heals soon! So much for attempting to tan, I bet my shoulders'll peel and become lighter again.
Oh oh! I shall go "rehearse" my oral now. Good night!
SweetSIXTEEN! :D
I had a wonderful birthday! Well, we got back Physics, Chemistry and Maths papers today, and my results were horrible. I didn't, and wouldn't let my results affect my day! :) I usually don't cry over spilt milk anyway; I just wailed a little. Hehe, but I have great friends who always tried to cheer me up!
LIZ's mum BAKED ME A CAKE! :D I was sooo surprised! That was one of my random crazy wishes for this year's birthday. It was a orange cheesecake, a new flavour from Liz's mum. Awwww. I was really touched hee. Yeah, she brought it out from the drink's stall after Physics paper, and the whole group of us sat around the canteen table and my friends sang the birthday song for me. And I was so happy I blurted out, "Oh my god I don't mind failing all my papers for the day, I'm so happy!" ---> That was a really WRONG thing to say!
This is my birthday cake! Oh, it isn't burnt, although it looks so; the crust actually tastes very nice! :) I LOVE LIZ!
XIUHAN IS KNITTING ME A SCARF! Gee, my friends are all so sincere with their presents. And it was what I'd wished for this year- (personalized) gifts of sincerity! Hehe. :D I saw the half-finished product today; it looks good! She's rushing it before my BSP trip, that's really really sweet. Thank you!
Oh and after school we went out for lunch. Well... everyone was so busy today! Nat and Christine had MEP, Denise was broke, Jia Yi had training and Nicole had her own plans. So my "birthday lunch" was only left with Liz and Deb. But they were really good company! :D Yeah, we went Shokudo, and of course, I made them took neoprints with me in the neoprint machine within the restaurant!
(I didn't know they were pointing at me then.)
This was to memorate the nice home-baked cheesecake from my dear friend on my 16th birthday!

Heh. A random neoprint!

This was an attempt by Liz to colour our hair with the effects in the machine. :)
Oh, and after that Deb had to leave early 'cos she had another date. Liz brought me to this really nice icecream store towards the end of citylink mall, near Marina Square exit. "Marvelous Cream". Oh, it was a very pretty Japanese store, and they have really special flavours made on-the-spot with fresh cake-bits/ fruits/ macarons! I tried this "Mix Berry Marriage" icecream, white milk cream icecrem blended with fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and fresh cream. It was good, and pretty cheap too! :D
And of course, I'm really thankful for the messages I've received and greetings from all my friends! I'm surprised actually quite a lot of people remembered! :D All of you made my birthday special. Thank you!
Oh, I just re-read my Seventeen mag horoscope again, and I found out today is my lucky day, together with October 6 and 15. :D I'm not sure whether my day was lucky, but it was happy!
Alright, that's all for now. Good night!
