Came back from Level Camp! :D
Wow, it was actually quite fun, and not as bad as I thought!
Heh, the first thing I did when I got home was to unpack my stuff and relieve my bag of the stench of the wet clothes, followed by a good bath and a nice aloe vera mask for my poor face! Gee, I was sick throughout the camp, but I pulled through pretty easily! :) Haha, I don't look or sound sick when I'm sick though!
My class had AHMAD and SHEEMUN as our instructors! My group had AHMAD. Gee, he's become famous with he and his bumble bee song!
1st day. Trip to Pelapah Waterfalls. Hmmm. That was pretty boring; we didn't get to see a decent waterfall! We climbed so hard... :/ Confidence Walk! Now that was quite a good experience. We had to walk through a stretch of road in the dark, full of nature. Well, I got through it by focusing my mind on something and having the reassurance that instructors would be around for me, and dreaming of my line of fireflies. Oh well, oh course it didn't come true! But dreaming helps. :)
2nd day. Kayaking at Johor River! We were using 3-man kayaks. I was kayaking with Jie Qi and Christine. Now, that was quite a chore 'cos we had to coordinate our hand movements and paddle at the same time. FIREFLIES cruise! Gee, the fireflies were really really pretty. It was the first time I actually got to see fireflies. Sparkle sparkle in the beautiful dark peaceful night. It was such a picturesque sight, cruising down the calm river! We even got to see bird nests under bridges. Heh, that was pretty romantic! Hahahaha.
Heh. 3rd day. Expedition to Gunung Panti Barat. It was a pretty tiring climb; we had 3 stations. We stopped at the 1st station for a field-cooked lunch! Heh, there was maggi noodles, sausages and baked beans, not forgetting the GREEN oranges! Yilin, Mayping, Xiangyu and a couple of other people and I had fun playing the game of "dispersing seeds" by comparing whose seed was brought the farthest by spitting! :D But later Ms Tan came and she beat all of us with her first and only try with one orange seed! Ooh, and later the 3rd station was so steep and slippery! I didn't get bitten by a leech! Although we saw lots of them there. I remember Eugene once told me "Leeches don't bite friendly people." and it came true! :D We had a simple night.
4th day. Project teamtanic was fun! :D I was in a group with Liz, Zhi Kai and Xiangyu while the other group had Deborah, Zina, Joe and Wei Xun. Although our boat capsized and we ended up towing the barrels and paddles to the other side of the river by swimming. But still it was a pretty cool experience! Mass games and CAMPFIRE! :D "She's been dreaming of a true love's kiss, and a prince she's hoping comes with this..." "Wimoweh wimoweh wimoweh wimoweh..." "Falalalala lalalala!" It was a really heartwarming campfire, so it brought me to tears, 'cos it was pretty emotional towards the end of the campfire. Apparently Bobby's debrief after that made it worse.
To think all of us were so freaked out by Level Camp before, and in the end not bearing to end the camp. Well, for my case it is. There were many many wonderful experiences which I would remember for a long long time... Including the funny times with dear AHMAD and BOBBY! :D
I love 4FALALA. I love Group 5. I love Draka. I love the instuctors. I love Year 4 Level Camp'08! :D
