Just came back from my leadership camp. I wonder if xun's waiting to read this blog? :) Okay let me give a general intro. My facil is ChengLong (but actually it's spelt "ZhengLong" in english). He's a really fun and nice guy. Likes to tease Elicia lol. Group name is J for "Jialat" (consists of D, E, F class comm. Buddy group is Karma (consists of G, H, I class comm). You know what, there were only 4 (initially 3, before Alicia joined in) girls in a combined group (J+K) of like 20 people. So we girls bonded quite well with one another. We had to keep an egg with us everywhere we go or else the facils would steal our eggs, and minus our marks from an overall mark of 50.
1st Day
Played lots of games and learnt many leadership skills. Had lots of fun. Seriously, this was the first camp that I've had so much fun! Maybe because it was like really leisure and casual, unlike sj camps. No need to rush rush rush. Missed all the lectures and secretary discussions for comp train. Really sad! :( Had field cooking for dinner. Chenglong told us lots of stuff, including ghost stories and interesting facts (like some actress is lesb and a gay hideout in singapore). Later was night activities organised by our own reps. It was pretty fun, although it was painful being tied up by raffia-like strings for a 6-legged race. Interacted a lot with my group. Found out a lot of funny things, like zhenzhou likes coffee and wayne is gay. Ashley and people wanted to meet up at 2am for a night walk initially but they didnt go after all. Anyway the facils' bunk was like just opp our girls' bunk and there were like facils on sentry duty! I didnt bring my sleeping bag (i thought we would be sleeping on tables!) and Elicia and Alicia were really nice they opened up their sleeping bags so that it formed a big mat and they had to sleep without a cover. >.<
Second day
We started our day with pt. Elicia, Alicia and i were abit late. And we had to do punishment. Ambulance pushups. And the fac in charge made us call him sir. Felt like sj lol. We did warmup, and every one of them he explained some cheem stuff abt muscles. Ashley thought he must've been a bio student haha. After that the sir said we would go for a SHORT jog. 6 rounds around the field! Didnt really expect it. Well anyway everyone completed it without fail, and the facils said they were impressed with DunmanHigh's fitness. Yay. :) After breakfast, we had evaluation and played games organised by our vice-chairs. Oh and we got 3rd for our egg-protecting results. We got 45 (3rd place!). Last but not least, bye bye with the facils and a nice last group photo!
Conclusion
Made new and really nice friends. I remembered how i reported for the 1st day in the LT and i did not know anyone at all, except for my classmates. No squadmates but there were seniors, and there werent any past year classmates either. (My classmates who came for the camp were all guys) Learnt many new and fun cheers! Had a relaxed, although tiring two-days-one-night. I never regretted joining the camp. This was the 1st time i had actually just let myself out and enjoyed myself totally since the start of this year. Had a lot of schoolwork to worry about and comp trains to attend. Well, for this campI did things most willingly, and learnt much more, unlike when i was being made to do things. Although i was injured and all (i got a big patch of contusion on my knee when we played the SRIC games), i didnt mind at all! I think this was one of the most fufilling camps ever! Well, maybe it was because i've had a lot to suffer in the many camps before. Class comm camp was LOVEE! :D
