Today is the last training that sj'll be havin in our dhs campus. There's still one more week before the school hols start and the school will be totally transformed after we come back lik 2 years later. Actually a group of us std2s were wishing that the PSI would rise above 100 so that there would be no training (or at least pt). Lol, i kinda missed out that there'll stil be routine, since we can haf indoor pt instead. Anyway, the PSI was only 92 then, so we still had our routine training. -_-"
Routine training wasnt as bad as i thought after all. I think i really think too much lol. We didnt do much today, but it was enough to tire us out. We had TOC and pt. For TOC, I was grouped with kokswee, wanyu, cindy and daphne. I just realised that i cant do many of the manual carriages, like the cradle and the fireman's lift. This was the 1st time i'm trying these out as i didnt come for the training when they taught us the manual carriages earlier on. I'm not strong enough i suppose. I cant even carry someone as small as daphne! I'm really weak can! I must start training up before i die in JNCO camp. The stretcher was really heavy too. It's all because of the dummy. We were made to carry the dummy together wif 1 squadmate, so yea. It really weighed alot. When me, cindy, wanyu and daphne carried kokswee + dummy, it was bad enough. Then when i was the one to be on the stretcher with the dummy, i really felt for my squadmates coz i could see how much they were suffering, while i was kinda lik the slacking one on the stretcher. By the end of TOC training, our hands were totally red. Because of the friction on the stretcher handle i guess.
For pt, we did something lik indoor pt, which was running up and down and around the school. Although we only did 2 cycles, it was tiring enough. I lagged at the stairs coz my legs went all soft when i climbed the stairs. After that we did commando's crawl and circuit pumping. The commando's crawl was pretty tiring, since we had a long group of people and a goal to meet. We did two crawls each. For the circuit pumping, we spelt out everyone's FULL names (including VICTORIA's) + our instructors' FULL names and the two sirs, sir kk and sir dickson, FULL names. It seemed quite an impossible task to us at 1st, but we managed to do it in the end. There's nothing u cant do wif a whole group of squadmates supporting one another! Our hands felt totally limp and useless after the circuit pumping. Guess it was becoz of all the pumping position thingy. The nursings' knees were all red after all the friction that our knees had on the red brick area. We ended our training with a "milkshake". Not the drink, but a group hop. Haha it was fun! Oh, and not forgetting our std2 whoosh of course.
Today was a great day. Maybe it was becoz we didnt have footdrill, so we didnt hafta change from pt back to full-u after TOC. =p Or maybe it was because this was the last routine training we're having in this erm.. linked school grounds, so it was just extra special. Whatever it is, the memories of this training shall stay with me for a long long time...
